Jay Lalonde was born in Beacon NY in 1965 . He enjoyed drawing doing leather work and building all kinds of things.It was later in life when he started working at Tallix Art Foundry in Beacon Ny that he discovered his love for contemporary art . He had the honer of working and learning from some of the great artist such as Roy Lichtenstein, Alexander Lieberman, David Cerulli, Greg Wyatt, Frank Stella and many others. After leaving Tallix he continued working with Frank Stella for over 35 years up until Franks recent passing .In 2019 Jay decided he was ready to start his art career. He works primarily in stainless steel and experiments with other materials . He wants to create sculpture that has never been seen before. LaLonde lives and works in Ulster Park, NY
